Artist bio
Jane Louise
Jane Louise is an emerging artist whose creative practice grew from a deeply personal turning point. Following a breast cancer diagnosis, she began painting as an emotional outlet and a way to navigate change. As she looks toward retirement and a new chapter beyond the demands of work and an empty nest, art has become a source of renewal, reflection and connection.
Working primarily in acrylics, Jane often introduces mixed-media elements. She builds her compositions through layers, creating depth, movement and richly textured surfaces. Her style favours expressive colour and graffiti-inspired energy over strict realism.
Jane’s strongest inspiration comes from the people and places she loves. Her subjects include birds, Darwin landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, flowers, animals and small experimental kitchen-table works.
Jane welcomes commissions shaped by personal stories and colour preferences, as well as high-quality prints.
For Jane, making art is a way of honouring relationships, expressing changing emotions and stepping with curiosity into the next stage of her life.
